Rules:
The Assignment - The subject of the picture MUST be either Chun-Li or Millenia (or both! ^_^). I don't mind it if there are other characters there, but they can't try to steal the spotlight. All art must be NEW as well. Don't try and send me something that's already out there.
PG-13 Rule - No porn. Duh. Believe it or not, in some cases I would allow partial nudity (like if you wanted to do a "Birth of Venus" parody or something), but nothing overly sexual in nature. The female body is indeed a thing of beauty, but I won't host anything that I think some perv can bop his banana to. Someone once said, "I can't define pornography, but I know it when I see it." I know porn when I see it. No porn.
Greedy Gilgamesh Rule - All submissions become Kikouken.com exclusives. I mean, if you have a home page of your own and want to show off your art portfolio, go ahead and include it as well. If you've got a boardroom you like to hang out and show your work to other people, go right ahead. And hell, if some museum wants to hang your work in a museum, I sure won't try to stop 'em! That's all perfectly fine. My only concern is other fan pages.
Suggestions - You get bonus points for creativity. BIG bonus points. Pictures of Chun-Li in various fighting stances are all well and good, but you'll be better off if you do something with imagination, such as Young Wang's "Chun-Li's cookies" picture. Need some ideas? Have her cosplay as some other game girl, plant a garden, or dance in a night club. Hey, the holidays are coming right up, so why not have her helping out Santa in his workshop or something? It's all good! Be creative!
New Deadline - The deadline is now January 21. I moved it back from December 31 because I don't think word of the contest has really started to get out there until recently.
Prizes - The First Place winner will recieve Capcom Vs. SNK 2 for the PS2.
The Second Place winner will recieve a Street Fighter Alpha Anime DVD.
The Third Place winner will recieve a Street Fighter Jr. Chun-Li figure.
Geography - This contest is for people living in North America only. I ain't rich, ya know. This contest is going to be setting me back by a pretty penny as it is. I can't afford to pay for overseas shipping on top of all that. If you live outside North America then you'll have to pay for the postage yourself. Unless you just wanted to enter for the hell of it, in which case the runner up gets the prize instead.
Multiple Submissions - If you want to try to increase your chances by sending in more than one work of art, go right ahead! The more submissions I get, the better the chances are that I'll hold another contest like this in the future. But there'll only be one prize per person, so don't think you can win a new game AND a new DVD.
Poster Boy Rule - Don't send me romantic pictures of Chun-Li & Ryu. You will be immediately disqualified. Pictures of Ryu getting the crap kicked out of him are all perfectly acceptable, however. ^_^
If You Don't Have a Scanner - You can still enter the contest if you like, just e-mail me once you've finished your submission and I'll give you a PO Box you can send it to and I'll scan them myself.
