![]() Last update: 8/6/02 -The Battle System- Hey all! Ash here. Now probably a few of you are wondering about the CBS in this game and I'll just give you the low down on it right now. This system will be based upon the CBS found in the game "Kindred Saga" by QHeretic and can be found at gameinggroundzero.com. Now I say based upon because I'm gonna be making quite a few custom tweaks to it so it fits my standards. Right now the goals for the CBS is to include: 1) FFX like engine where you can tag team a characterin and out of the party at any given moment 2) Combos! The far best part a classic game like Chrono Trigger was the combo system it had. Although ours will be a slightly watered down version of it, i'm sure it'll still be quite a fun and useful little option to have 3) MAYBE limit breaks.... There's gonna be somewhat of a gap in the middle of the menu after I give the battle menu a slight makeover and one of my options to fill up the gap is to have limit breaks so we can put a limit meter on the menu bar... I know it sounds cheesy going through extra trouble just to fill up a little space but it makes it look more professional ^_^... Here's my plan so far in the programing field. I'll keep you all posted in what I've finished and what I'm working on. The plan! 1. Add characters to system 2. Add all skills for Characters 3. Redo the menu's appearance (add limit breaks maybe -_-) 4. If limit breaks are added, program limit breaks for each character 5. Create tag team system 6. Add combos (and there are a LOT!) 7. Create monsters, bosses, etc. 8. Cut, print and send to beta testers for balance issues (this'll probably take a few months at least) Now this CBS most likely will need a CMS (Custom Menu System) But I sure as hell ain't doing while I have the CBS to worry about so maybe I can con Gil or Gman into making the CMS for me ^_^ .
